Stove tops must be cleaned
\nthoroughly as new. This includes
\nthe iron grid on which the
\npot rests, the enamel surface
\nbetween burners, drip pans and
\nthe area under the drip pans
\nif accessible. The stove knobs
\nshould be removed and cleaned or replaced. The iron grids which have
\nbeen cleaned thoroughly, should be placed into a
\nself-cleaning oven and left for an hour on the selfcleaning cycle. If this is not possible, the iron grid
\nshould remain on the stove top and each burner
\nshould be turned on to the highest temperature
\nfor fifteen minutes. It is preferable that for those
\nfifteen minutes, the burner should be covered
\nwith a piece of metal such as a Blech. Kasher one
\nburner at a time. Enamel surfaces between burners
\nas well as drip pans beneath burners should be
\ncovered with aluminum foil. Use extreme caution
\nwhen doing this. Do not leave stove unattended.
